Year 6

Welcome to Year 6

Adults in Year 6 - Miss Christie and Mr Brodie.

In Year Six we endeavour to share snapshots of our learning on ClassDojo. Please make sure you are able to access your child’s ClassDojo, if not contact Miss Christie or the office as soon as possible. You can download a free app, which some people find easier to use than the Web page.

Please support your child with their reading and learning at home. We love to see what you do at home so please pop anything you can onto ClassDojo including sporting achievements.

What homework looks like in Year 6:

Thursday – Reading books will be sent out every Thursday and collected in on a Tuesday. Please read with your child as much as you can, three times a week is ideal and don’t forget those VIPERS questions. I have sent home a bookmark with every child to help.

Friday- Mathletics and TT Rockstars. Times tables are fundamental in Year 6 so please log on 3 times a week and practise the times tables set for your child.

Spellings- Will go home in their planner if children would like to practise their spellings on Spelling Shed there are fun activities set weekly by the class teacher. Children will bring their spelling book home every Friday so you can see how well they have done.
